Where it all began

Growing up on his family's vineyard in Syria, Tony Joudi used unsold grapes to learn the art of distilling the Middle Eastern spirit arak. Decades later, Tony has passed the family recipe down to his sons, who are preserving the tradition and sharing it with new generations.

Inspired by their mother's name, Leyla Arak is proud to be the first arak distilled in California - honoring both their Syrian heritage and American upbringing. This small-batch spirit is crafted with only the finest ingredients and zero additives, just as Tony used to make.
